The primary instruction at Schissler Academy of Fine Arts is based on the underlying principles of drawing and painting taught by the master painters since the Renaissance.  The study of line, tone-value and basic color theory are the foundation for all art medium. With these principles in mind the academy curriculum has ability-appropriate levels and small class sizes, typically a student to teacher ratio of four-to-one. Schissler Academy of Fine Arts’ focus is to create a solid foundation upon which each student-artist can grow.
