The primary instruction of Schissler Academy of Fine Arts is based on the underlying principles of drawing and painting taught by masters painters since the renaissance. The study of line, tone-value and basic color theory are the foundation for all art medium.

With these principles in mind the academy curriculum has ability-appropriate levels and small class sizes, typically a student to teacher ratio of four-to-one.

Schissler Academy of Fine Arts’ focus is to create a solid foundation upon which each student-artist can grow.

Schissler Academy of Fine Arts offers classes for youth and adults. We have curriculum based, formal classes, workshops and art camps. Whether you are a “beginner or beyond” we have classes you will enjoy. Our classes are ongoing and some continue throughout the year so you can join at any time.
